The Butterfly High Tea was the second annual fundraiser held in Nowra on the South Coast. It is a ladies event aimed at bringing together bereaved mums and the greater community, to recognise, acknowledge and show their support for the many women affected by stillbirth and baby loss.

This year, we wanted to focus on the incredible courage and resilience these women have and speak about finding hope through such tragedy. All funds raised were donated to the Stillbirth Foundation Australia and Still Aware, to support research, education and support for families and health professionals.

This year, the event was held at Nowra Golf Club, overlooking the beautiful Shoalhaven River. We shared a delicious High Tea, champagne on arrival, live singing and music from local talent Hannah Harris, gift bag and prizes. We were honoured to hear from three inspirational guest speakers about hope, strength and courage through the journey of life after loss.

Monday 15th October is International Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day so this year, we also had a  special live butterfly release on the Golf course in memory of the beloved babies gone too soon.
